Dates for Your Diary

If there’s one thing I love, it’s information for free (or at least for very little):  in the next few weeks I shall be exploring some free/inexpensive resources with you.

Earlier this month, as I’ve already mentioned, I took part in the Penn Local History Fair: there was plenty here to interest everybody. Last week I visited my local archive for a fascinating – and very funny – talk by Frank Sharman on ‘Seals, Signatures and Names.’

There are plenty of free or reasonably priced talks, fairs, exhibitions etc taking place every month throughout the country.  The new page “Dates For Your Diary” lists some of these taking place in Staffordshire and the Black Country for the remainder of this year.

I’ll update this list as information comes in:  if anyone knows of any I’ve missed off, please let me know. Family/local history related, please, and ONLY those taking place in Staffordshire and the Black Country.
